# On-Device Translation

> Fast, Secure, and Offline-Capable

In addition to transcription, **aj** leverages the power of on-device AI to provide fast, secure, and offline-capable audio translation.

**How It Works:**

Within the app's model testing and management screen, you'll find a simple toggle that lets you switch between "Transcribe" and "Translate" modes.

1. **Select Translate Mode:** Simply activate the "Translate" toggle before you begin your recording.
2. **Record Your Audio:** Speak in a different language.
3. **Get an English Translation:** The on-device model will process the audio and will return the translated English text.

**A Stable, Parallel Architecture:**

To ensure the highest level of stability, the translation feature was built as a completely parallel and separate system from the core transcription functionality.
